What is your process for setting up a Caridina tank? Substrates, powders, bacterias, any help would be appreciated, Thanks !!!

I've used Fluval Shrimp Stratum and ADA Amazonia with Amazonia being superior but has a long cycle time. Going to be trying Shirakura Red Bee Sand next and see how well that goes. Seems to be excellent from the reviews I have seen so far. What are your thoughts?
