Should I go with aquarium white sand or aquarium soil for my red cherry shrimp tank. The only reason I'm asking is that I have heard the soil is hard to clean, but having light color gravel or sand in my case can cause thier color to fade away over time. Any feedback would be great.

I've used Fluval Shrimp Stratum and ADA Amazonia with Amazonia being superior but has a long cycle time. Going to be trying Shirakura Red Bee Sand next and see how well that goes. Seems to be excellent from the reviews I have seen so far. What are your thoughts?
